I picked the iD14 MkII for unglamorous, correct reasons and it's never let me down. The headphone output has the headroom to properly drive my 300-ohm Sennheisers, it has ADAT so I can expand the input count later without replacing the box, and Audient's preamps have the reputation to back it up.
In daily use it's exactly what I want from an interface: it does what it advertises, it's rock-solid, and it gets out of the way. A genuine no-fuss box — which, for something every signal in the studio passes through, is the highest compliment I can give it.
