The service

Setup Gear Guide provides researched product data, compatibility checks, scores, and build tools for informational purposes. We work hard at accuracy and flag uncertainty explicitly, but specifications, prices, and availability change without notice — verify with the retailer and manufacturer before purchasing. Setup Gear Guide is not liable for purchase decisions made on the basis of the data.

Prices shown are point-in-time snapshots with their check date displayed; the retailer's current price controls.

API usage (/api/ai/*)

The public AI API is keyless in v1 and rate-limited per IP (cheap reads 60/min, generation endpoints 10/min; limits may change). Automated callers must respect 429 Retry-After responses, must not attempt to enumerate build or quote tokens, and must preserve the affiliate disclosure when republishing offer data. Abusive traffic may be blocked without notice.

API responses include canonical URLs — agents citing Setup Gear Guide data should link them.

Catalog data, guides, and comparison content are © Setup Gear Guide (placeholder entity pending registration). Quoting with attribution and linking is welcome; wholesale replication of the catalog is not.

Build share links are capabilities — treat them like the contents are public to anyone you give the link. Alerts and digests are best-effort notifications, not guarantees of price availability.
